A great way to add a ton of nutritional value to your diet is by eating a variety of sprouts.

There are so many to choose from, that you’ll definitely be able to find a couple you really like. You’d be amazed at the different flavors and textures sprouts can add to a food or beverage!

Some of my personal favorites include, sprouted sunflower seeds, almonds, broccoli, red clover, alfalfa, radish, and fenugreek.

I’ve found sprouting to be a fun and easy way to grow and enjoy my own fresh vegetables indoors, year round!

Tips for Sprouting Success

It’s really important to buy high quality sprouting seeds. For best results you should always avoid seeds that have been chemically treated – this will decrease germination rate. Plus, you don’t want to eat toxic food anyway!

I like Sproutman’s Certified Organic Sprouting Seeds. They’re high quality, and excellent germination rate! Mountain Rose Herbs also has a selection of good quality sprouting seeds.

Another thing that I’ve found helpful and convenient, but not necessary, is the use of a sprouting kit. I’m a fan of the Biosta Sprouter. With this setup you only have to water the sprouts once a day. And, it’s very convenient.

Easy Ways to Add Sprouts to Your Diet

Add them to a salad.

Make raw sprouted crackers or breads.

Add to dips and spreads.

Add to a sandwich or wrap.

Add to a smoothie.

Enjoy!
