So, you’re going to make this in the kitchen, but use it in the bathroom. When you’re applying the parsley tonic to your hair, you’ll probably want to wrap a towel around your shoulders, or maybe even do it standing in the shower. It’s kind of a messy job!

Healthy Hair: Parsely Hair Tonic - Sophisticated Booty

  • Why Parsley for Healthy Hair? Because parsley is an excellent source of silicon. Silicon is an important mineral for healthy hair (skin and nails, too). Which is why this all natural, parsley hair tonic makes such a great topical hair treatment.

Recipe: Parsley Hair Tonic


  • Organic parsley, washed and roughly chopped
  • ¼ spring water or extra virgin olive oil*

* I’d recommend using olive oil instead of water if your hair tends to be dry, or you just want to deep moisturize your hair.


  • Add water or olive oil to blender.
  • Add parsley and blend until smooth.
  • Drape a towel over your shoulders.
  • Dampen your hair with warm water.
  • Apply parsley mixture liberally to your hair.
  • Leave in for at least 30 minutes.
  • Rinse and wash hair.
