Do you have sensitive skin or allergic reactions to commercial laundry care products? I do.

If I wear clothes, or sleep in bed sheets that have been washed with such products, my skin not only gets itchy and irritated, but I get a headache, and feel sick from the synthetic fragrances and other chemical ingredients used to manufacture these products.

In fact, the lingering smell of detergents, fabric softeners, fabric fresheners, etc. that people use to do their laundry literally makes me feel sick! It’s horrible!

  • Why Use All Natural DIY Fabric Softener?
  • Great for sensitive skin or those with allergies.
  • Chemical free.
  • Free of Artificial Fragrances & Perfumes.
  • Environmentally friendly.
  • Effective.
  • Inexpensive.

If you’ve been reading my posts, then you know, I’m really big on the idea of reducing the level of toxicity in our lives (our personal environment(s), the food we eat, water we drink, etc.).

One way we can do this, is by upgrading our laundry care products from harmful chemical concoctions to natural solutions. Fortunately, this is very simple to do!

Below, I have a super easy, DIY (do it yourself) fabric softener recipe. All you’ll need is 4 to 5 ingredients, and an empty bottle to store your finished product.

Also, you don’t have to use lemon and lavender essential oils. You can use any essential oil or blend of essential oils you like! Just make sure to buy organic and/or steam distilled essential oils. Quality is important!
