Instead of eating a highly processed, sugary breakfast in the morning, why not try one of these delicious, healthy breakfast smoothies?

Smoothies are a super easy way to start the day off with some nutrition! This is one of the reasons I love smoothies. They’re a very practical and enjoyable way to include more whole foods, superfoods, and superherbs into your diet!

And, you definitely won’t feel guilty about it!

All you have to do is throw a few ingredients into the blender … whip it up … and you’re done. Breakfast is served!

You’ll notice that these smoothie recipes don’t have additional sugar added to them. If you want a little extra sweetness, I would suggest using a splash of clear agave syrup or 1-2 teaspoons of lucuma powder.

Feel free to use any nut or seed milk you prefer. I really like homemade cashew or almond milk, or a combination of the two.

Two of the recipes call for maca powder. If you’re unfamiliar with maca, it’s definitely time to get acquainted! Maca is one of my favorite superfoods. It’s a great source of protein, feeds your glands, and its high sulfur content makes it an excellent detoxifier!

As always, use the best quality ingredients you can find. Look for fresh, locally grown and/or organic produce and ingredients. Your body only deserves the best!

Tip: Freeze the fruit the night before, so it’s ready to go in the morning. You can also prepare and freeze enough fruit to make smoothies for the next week or two ahead.
