My husband and I, eat one green salad almost everyday, sometimes even two. What can I say … we like to get our salad on!

Good thing though, because green salads are a great way to get some of those healthy skin supporting vitamins, minerals, and healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.

Vitamins A, C, and E are some of the key players when it comes to building strong, firm, wrinkle-free skin.

Also important for the nourishment of healthy glowing skin are the minerals silicon, zinc, and sulfur.

Silicon strengthens our skin, and gives it a more youthful appearance. Zinc helps with the regeneration of skin cells, and sulfur gives our skin a beautiful complexion with a radiant glow.

We also need healthy fats from sources like olive oil, avocados, nuts, and seeds to help support healthy skin.

The ingredients used in the recipe below provide all of the skin supporting nutrients mentioned above. Make sure you buy them organic, so you don’t have to worry about eating those harmful pesticides and chemicals found in conventional produce!

I didn’t have a ripe avocado on hand, but it would be a great addition to this salad. Avocados are an excellent source of monounsaturated fat.
