There are so many reasons I love summer! But, one of the things I really love about this time of year is the availability and abundance of fresh, locally grown food.

And, right now, there are big juicy blackberries everywhere! My husband and I are fortunate because we have several great blackberry picking spots on our property. So, we get to munch on delicious wild, herbicide and pesticide-free blackberries!

I’m all about it. Plus, they don’t cost us a single penny. Which is awesome since blackberries aren’t too cheap. A pint usually costs about $4 at the farmer’s market.
